“We always conceive ideas on every aspect of our life and daily encounters. These internal desires and ideas come out and are realized for others to see. It is the spirit inside that evolves to our daily ventures. As the idea evolves progressively we achieve greater aspects of what we are in all spheres of life. Nothing comes of nothing but from something hence evolving point.”

Motondi Gerard Oroo was born in Kenya, 1965. He once studied Fine Art and Kiswahili in Kenyatta University and won a 2nd class Honors upper division. Besides, he got the Diploma in Education and a 1st class honor in Kisii College. Since 2006, he has been teaching Art and Crafts in Asumbi Teachers College. Motondi Gerard Oroo has a unique keen talent that only African artists possess. He has a special feeling towards things and can express those feelings through his unique art language. Endless striving and exploring make him a outstanding African sculptor. In 2011, he received the Head of State Commendation in Kenya. In 2013, he got Award to create Mashujaa Monumental Sculpture at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi Kenya. Motondi Gerard Oroo took part in some international sculpture seminars held in Kenya, India, America, etc. You can find his works in Penza museum of Fine arts- Russia, Olympic Fine Arts Museum-Beijing China, Private collectors in Dubai UAE ,South Korea, Israel and USA.
